The installation ‘MADE IN ITALY’ starts with the intention of making a bizarre critique of what has often become the parameters of ‘Made in Italy', that is, pieces built elsewhere glued or only packaged in Italy.

Made in Italy is composed at the base of Italian wood, held together by Dutch screws, covered with German latex and decorated with Chinese plastic fingers.

This artwork is very appealing to touch, but the public cannot approach it.

The artist assembled this installation during the quarantine and was able to reflect on the value of touch and human contact, finding this work very relevant to the pandemic situation and the materials with strangely involved nationalities.

The white backdrop / background in which the work is exhibited is essential to the presentation as it collects the traces of those in the public who have approached and dissuades from approaching.
